You can finish your list and still avoid your life.

A completed list can give you the relief of progress without the risk of choosing. The inbox offers clear instructions. The difficult conversation does not. Neither does admitting that a goal you have organized your life around no longer belongs to you.
Ordinary work still matters. Paying bills and keeping promises are part of caring for a life. But they can become a respectable hiding place. “Reconnect with my brother” can remain untouched for months. “Ask him if we can talk on Sunday” gives you something real to choose.
What have you kept vague because making it specific would require a decision?
