The work you avoid may be deciding what work to stop.
Starting another task can be easier than ending a responsibility. A new task offers visible motion. Ending something asks you to disappoint an expectation, explain a choice, or accept that previous effort will not become the outcome you imagined.
If your workload only grows, look for the decisions disguised as unfinished work. Some need doing. Some need a handover. Some need a clear ending. Your list cannot make those distinctions for you, however carefully you organize it.
What are you still working around because you have not decided whether to stop it?
