A streak can count days. It cannot tell you what they meant.
A streak gives you a clean answer to a narrow question: did you do it again? That answer can encourage you. It cannot tell you whether you were present, whether the habit still helps, or whether today's exception was a wise choice.
Keep the count if it serves you, but occasionally read beyond it. A missed day spent caring for someone may mean something different from a missed day you barely noticed. Your record can remain accurate without becoming the final judge of the day.
