An easy habit you repeat can outlast an impressive habit you resent.

An ambitious habit can become a daily negotiation with resentment. You believe in its benefits, but dread its arrival. A smaller version may look unimpressive while quietly removing that negotiation from your life.

Difficulty is not automatically evidence of value. Try separating what the habit gives you from how demanding you think it should look. The useful version may be shorter, less public, or less optimized. Judge it over ordinary weeks, rather than by how impressive it feels on the first day.

Which habit could become easier without losing the benefit you actually need?
