Busy can be a very comfortable place to hide.
Busyness offers ready explanations. You have not called, decided, or begun because the day was full. Often that explanation is true. Sometimes it is also convenient enough that you stop looking at what keeps filling the day.
Do not accuse yourself on the evidence of a crowded schedule alone. Look for a pattern: when a little space appears, do you move toward the important thing or quickly find another obligation? That moment can tell you more than the total number of hours you worked.
When unexpected space appears, what do you rush to put into it?
